This policy covers craftatom.com, the website you are reading. Each of our products handles different data for different reasons, so each has its own privacy policy, published on its own site.
What this site collects
When you email us
We receive whatever you put in the message: your name, your email address, and anything you choose to tell us about your business. We keep the thread so we can follow up and so a later conversation has context. Ask us to delete it and we will.
When you just read the site
Pages are served as static files. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not run third-party tracking scripts, and there is no login. Your browser stores one thing locally (whether you chose the light or dark theme) and that never leaves your device.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and to block abuse. We use these in aggregate to see which pages get read.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not share your email with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not build profiles on visitors for marketing.
Who else sees it
A few service providers handle data to run the site: our hosting provider, our email provider, and our domain registrar. They act on our instructions. We are still responsible for what happens to your information.
How long we keep it
Email correspondence is kept while it is useful for supporting you or understanding a problem you raised, and deleted when it is not. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on their standard schedule.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@craftatom.com and we will respond within thirty days. If we cannot do what you asked, we will tell you why.
Children
This site is aimed at people running businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be called out on the page rather than slipped in quietly.
