gitmeridian

live, git client for the mac

Your agent wrote it. You still have to read it. GitMeridian opens from the terminal in under a second and shows you the change as a document, then takes you all the way to the commit.

the problem

A diff was designed for code you wrote yourself.

Now an agent writes the code, the specs and the READMEs, and you're the one who has to read them. In a line diff a reworded paragraph is a wall of red and green, and an image dead-ends at "Binary file". The free reviewers that show you the change can't commit it, and the clients that can commit it still diff a document as lines.

GitMeridian renders the file before and after, side by side and scrolling together, so you review the change rather than the diff. Then you stage it and commit it in the same window.

what it does

Three things, and they only matter together. Reading a change is useless if you have to leave to commit it.

terminal

cd into any repo or worktree, type mrd, and it opens in under a second. No project setup, no add-repository step, no account.

preview

Markdown, images, SVG, CSV and JSON drawn as themselves, old version beside new, scrolling in sync. Prose reads as prose.

commit

Stage by file or by hunk, commit, branch, merge, resolve conflicts and read the history. It's a client, not a viewer.

in the product

one payment, not a subscription

A licence is bought once and covers personal and commercial use on your own machines, with a year of updates included. After that the app keeps working. macOS only, Apple silicon and Intel, notarised. There's a free trial, and current prices are on the GitMeridian site.
